Teacher Appreciation
This year's Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7th - May 11th, 2011. This
is a great opportunity to thank all of our awesome LTES teachers who
passionately strive to make our children successful! The PTA plans several
special events to thank all of our teachers for their dedication throughout
the year. If you received a note from your Room Parent to send a voluntary
cash donation to purchase your teacher a gift, please write your child's
name AND teacher's name on the envelope before sending it to the school.
The PTA sponsor's a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon to occur on
Fri., May 11th from 10:35 am- 1:15 pm. There is a variety of volunteer opportunies
available from set-up to donations to serving, etc. For more inforamtion, please
contact Mari Thomason. An electronic volunteer signup
will be forthcoming.
We would like to invite the students to celebrate their teachers
throughout the week too! Each day of the week we will "thank" our teachers
in a unique way. The Teacher Appreciation Week treats are
voluntary, and if you would like to show your appreciation in a different
way, please feel free to do so!
We encourage the
students to reflect on what makes their teachers special and thank them
thoughtfully. Please remember all of the specialists
who help our children grow each day too! Most importantly no matter how you
do it -- HAVE FUN thanking our teachers all week!
