Teacher Appreciation
This year Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2-7, and it is a great opportunity to thank all of our awesome LTES teachers who passionately strive
to make our children successful! The PTA has planned several special events to thank all of our teachers for their dedication throughout
the year.
If you received a note from your Room Parent to send a voluntary cash donation to purchase your teacher
a gift, please write your child's name AND teacher's name on the envelope before sending it to the school.
We would like to invite the students to celebrate their teachers throughout the week too! Each day of the week we will "thank"
our teachers in a unique way. The Teacher Appreciation Week treats are voluntary, and if you would like to show your
appreciation in a different way, please feel free to do so!
Helpful ideas:
Monday 5/3 - Picture Perfect Thank You: Create an original masterpiece! Maybe a self portrait - or any other
artwork you'd like to make for your teacher.
Tuesda 5/4 - Tasty Treat Day: Does your teacher know your favorite treat? Bring in a sample so s/he can learn
what it is. (A piece of candy, gum, cookies, etc.)
Wednesday 5/5 - Tools for Learning: Bring in a Tool for Learning so your teacher has everything necessary to
making teaching fun and easy. (Post-its, markers, pencils, crayons, stickers, etc.)
Thursday 5/6 - Blooming Futures: To honor our teachers for the blooming futures they create, please bring in a
flower.
Friday 5/7 - A Thank You Card: Create a Thank You note - include in the note one of the favorite thinkgs you learned
about this year! Thank your teacher...
We encourage the students to reflect on what makes thier teachers special and thank them thoughtfully. Please remember all of the
specialists who help our children grow each day too! Most importantly no matter how you do it -- HAVE FUN thanking
our teachers all week!
