Upcoming Events
2008 Spring Fundraiser
Your child will be creating their artwork in school, using the regular
art curriculum as the basis for their work of art.
A large magnet will be made from this artwork and sent home for you to review. You may purchase the magnet,
return it without obligation, and/or purchase a
variety of other products featuring your child’s own artwork.
Orders are placed in April and products are delivered in early June. If you

2007-2008 Events
The PTA puts on many popular events throughout the year. They are opportunities for the students, teachers and parents to
come together and share our cultures, celebrate being a community, and to have fun! Look for announcements about upcoming events
and who to contact via the PTA newsletter, your child's Tuesday folder, and the "Keep in Touch" email message system.

September/October:
International Night - This is a wonderful night to celebrate the diversity of
London Towne and our community. Families donate food to share, display or wear
costumes representing their country, perform a dance, and display items
representing their country, and more!

Time: 6-8pm
Fall Fundraiser – Gift-wrap/catalog orders. This fundraiser supports most of
our activities throughout the year!
The Reflections Program - an arts recognition and achievement program for
students, grades preschool through sixth. It provides opportunities for
students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition
for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme. Volunteers
help the art teacher coordinate the art show and awards ceremony.
November:
Spirit Night - Chick Fil-A - This event always has a huge turnout. Teachers and
parents come out to support the fundraiser and to watch the chicken nugget
eating contest! This year's winner was Assistant Principal Mr. Mitchell!

Thanksgiving Luncheon - Volunteers are needed to host in the cafeteria and gym
during this special lunch. You can ask to be assigned a time before or
after your child eats lunch so you can stay and dine with them!

December:
Silent Auction and Bingo Night - This is a great night. There is a silent
auction room filled with fantastic items to bid on, donated by local area
businesses and friends and families of London Towne. Bingo gets going with
bingo card and raffle ticket sales at 6:30 pm. There is also a kids' craft area
with fun holiday crafts and face painting!

Winter Book Fair - This event raises money for our school library to buy new
books.

January:
Movie Night - This year the movie was Ratatouille (G). Don’t forget to bring a
sleeping bag and pillow because we camp out in the cafeteria in front of an
enormous movie screen. Admission and popcorn are free!

Appreciation Week - Help make this week as special as it can be for our
dedicated teachers. There are so many fun ways to express the gratitude we all
feel for their commitment to our kids.

London Towne if you mention us before your check out. No card or registration

GIANT A+ Bonus Bucks Program - Every time you shop with your card between
October 5, 2007 and April 3, 2008 our school will earn A+ Bonus Bucks which
converts into CASH each month! Register your Giant Bonus Card at any Giant
store. London Towne's ID # is 01855. If you participated last year, you need to
redesignate this year.
Safeway eScrip Program - Every time you shop at Safeway with your Club Card, up
to 4% of your purchases will be credited to our school as cash! Go to
eScrip.com and register your Club Card or credit card. London Towne's ID # is

BoxTops for Education - London Towne receives 10 cents for every label you send
in! Save the labels off many products such as General Mills cereals, Pillsbury
refrigerated items, Betty Crocker baking products, Ziploc bags and containers,
Old El Paso items, and more! Reminder: Please cut outside the dotted line of
the coupon, or it can't be redeemed. Drop off boxes are located in the lobby of
the school.
Target: Take Charge of Education - Target will donate 1% of REDcard purchases
at Target and Target.com as cash for our school. Go to the Target web site to

Staples Recycle for Education Program - London Towne receives $3 for every
eligible ink or laser toner cartridge we collect and turn in. Drop off boxes
are located in the lobby of the school.
